I was discussing this weekend with friends my concerns about somebody that we're now convinced is suffering from anorexia, although she swears she hasn't got a problem. An anorexic person looks at the mirror and is convinced that they are seeing a fat person, whereas what you really see is a skeleton. This is the difference between perception and illusion.

isn't 'swearing you haven't got a problem' a symptom of anorexia?

or
I think I am (illusion), therefore I see (perception).
