cartoons

The brilliant cartoon uploaded by Jim in viewtopic.php?f=6&t=617&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=10 made me think that maybe we could have a thread on Systemsplace where we could upload any cartoons we've come across that might be handy in communicating some systems ideas. Below are two of my favourites.

haha i love the one with the boat - but if they all just went to the end without the hole, probably the hole would rise above the water line and they'd be ok.

Good point! If anything, it adds further to the argument: both sets of people are failing to see the bigger picture :)

thinking about it, it's like saying we all sink or we all drown - it's all one boat. If the people in the dry end don't help the sinking people, the whole thing will go down anyway/it will be their end sinking next. If the dry end people do help, perhaps they all survive, albeit in a rather crowded half a boat.

I had to post this analysis here as it fits the boat cartoon so aptly.

Germany is convinced it can survive at the dry end of the Euro boat, but when Greece and Italy sink it they'll be just as much in jeopardy as them.

Not much going on here these days, but I thought this one regarding perspective was quite neat:

I'm still here! I just didn't get round to replying to the threads I posted in err, at the beginning of the year.
