Finding a study skills tutor

Postby jsp_1983 on Sat Feb 02, 2013 3:27 am

Can anybody offer any suggestions?

I'm desperately trying to find someone who can sit down with me for an hour or two to go over practical aspects of how I'm managing my studies (won't bore you with the precise details). I've tried asking my regional office, but after six or so weeks of enquiries, I've given up with them - I'd rather just find someone and pay them for their time.

Does anybody know of any websites that offer these services? I know there are ones that offer subject tutors, but this is specific to study skills. Would be even better if I could find OU (or ex-OU) tutors in my area who don't mind moonlighting.

Sorry that the answer is late.
I think that most courses anywhere start with "methods of learning".
I would ask at a local college.

Or ask us :-)
