Finding a name

Where "we contemplate our own navels" to decide how this forum should evolve. What features do we need? Who decides what we need?

Red pill - not sure I like this Neill

Will it attract, medics, hypercondriacs (please can I have a spellchecker?) and maybe some dodgey addict types?

Prefer Systems Place.

Maybe we should take a vote on these two?

If we can't agree I think as Neill started this he should have the honour of naming it.

i agree i think it's going to sound like a drug site..
i think the 'red pill' name is obscure and not related to what we are doing here and just sounds a bit disturbing. i don't think people would understand the reference without tons of explanation, and even then it wouldn't make much sense. off-putting.
plus if people got mail from somewhere called red pill it would probably get deleted as spam. along with all the other pills they try and sell you.

(sorry by the way if my posts at the moment sound grumpy but i am not well and it's frustrating. Came back from a great holiday but seem to have brought back a bad cold as a souvenir. can't breathe can't sleep, coughing, feel lousy. hope it goes away soon. )

Thank you both of you.
I had not considered the spam or dodgy associations problems.
OK - forget red pill

Sorry you are not feeling well Teiana. Sounds like the same thing I got a day before sending in my ECA. If it had been a week earlier I don't know how I would have managed because it made me feel very sorry for myself.

Hope you get better soon.

I think 'systems place' finds the bill just right.

Recently read in the 'web of life' by Fritja Capra that the word system is derived from the Greek word synhistanai which means 'to place together'.

I understood the Red Pill straight away, but I agree it may confuse others and won't bring in those interested in systems.
I agree that The Systems Place makes more sense and seems to be gathering some support...

OMG! I followed that link from Andrea and what a disappointing OUForum, I suppose that's what happens when no-one knows you are there?
