Post T214 Separation Anxiety

Hi

Is it normal to have handed in the EMA but still find a compulsion to haul oneself upstairs to study T214.

Is therapy available?

Yours systemically dislocated

...and so it begins

Yes, soon you'll be signing up to further systems courses, although sadly T306, the 'sister' course is no longer available.

I'm out of touch with what undergraduate courses are systems related these days although a quick search showed up only T173 and Y181. :(

I think the OU policy now is to only offer systems courses at Post graduate level.

TU811/TU812 and T863
Current OU study: A230
Studying towards: BA Humanities
Past OU Study: MBA (Tech Man), BEng/MEng (incl T214, T306) PG Dip EDM (incl T863, TU812), AA100, AXR272
(OU Systems courses)

graham how'd you think the systems place came into being? we just couldn't bear to leave. Bring your systems-thinking-questions here and we'll play with them.

I'm about to start T889. Not immediately systems-related, but flicking through the courseware, I recognise some of the concepts.

Seems to include some mathsy stuff, too, though :?

That said... There's plenty of good stuff on Coursera at the moment. And it's all freeeeee :D

On another note - has anyone heard from Andrea? I've dropped him a couple of emails, but no reply.

So... Two months or so on, I'm wondering how the rest of you fared with retaining the course?

I think I'm okay with recognising and discussing the first two blocks, but the final two - Block 3 in particular - are just a blur ("something about management and Volvo") :|

For kicks, on a Saturday night? Hmm...

I perhaps could, but it would still some summoning of effort! I've yet to get to that point where I can throw together an insightful and informed essay in the space of an hour or two!

Perhaps I could take a leaf out of the Block 3 author's book, rehash some articles from other courseware and say "now read X, Y and Z"? Not that I'm disillusioned with that block or anything ; :)
